About Respiratory Care

The field of Respiratory Care is a rewarding career. As a respiratory care practitioner we are an integral part of the health care team. Our primary responsibility is cardiopulmonary.We stand together along side nurses and physicians in caring for the patient.

A respiratory therapist cares for a variety of patients ranging from newborn and pediatric patients to adults and the elderly. As a respiratory care practitioner one has the opportunity to work in a variety of health care environments, including acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, and home care.
